Thursday Mystereum Tarot Theatre: Theme Team Technique

Thursday Mystereum Tarot Theatre: Theme Team Technique

These Thursday Mystereum Tarot Theatre Themes look into the depthful places of other cards throughout the deck where Major Arcana characters make cameo appearances in Tarot in the Land of Mystereum.  These “Presence of” blog segments are to introduce you to people in the crowd so to speak.  Mystereum is young, yet oh how they grow so quickly.

These Thursday Mystereum Tarot Theatre Themes are a stage to express the coordination of living order that heartbeats throughout The Land of Mystereum.  The Mystereum Presence Of series can be found under the Card Cameos tab above for you to explore how Major Arcana characters make cameos and guest appearances throughout Tarot in the Land of Mystereum.  The intent of this series is to more clearly bring the presence of the Mystereum living family lineage to you.

Today’s Theme Is A Bit Different

Rather than further elucidating cameo appearances throughout the deck today, today’s theme is one of the alchemies of Imagin-Action. It is a driving force in Mystereum’s “there is expert skill in play like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.”  Today’s technique only requires about 15 minutes, maybe less.

Thursday Tarot Theme Team Technique

  • draw or select a Tarot (oracle) card or cards
  • be committed to work your problem or focus of your inquiry
  • assign 15 minutes of uninterrupted time to it.  Yes, mute the cell phone, cover your computer screen or TRAVESTY turn it off.  That’s asking too much, huh?  That’s cool, just don’t proceed any further.  Seriously.  It’s like that old adage by someone wicked cool (??) “Meditate 20 minutes each day.  If you don’t have time to meditate for 20 minutes, then you need to do it for an hour.”
  • assign 15 minutes of uninterrupted time to your exercise
  • Turbo Read your card or cards by making one or, tops, two sentences or short phrases that embrace the cards’ story as a whole.  Write your Turbo Reading to record it. mp3 it if you have a recorder.
  • And, here’s where the technique starts to enter the stage.  Grab your schedule planner and scan it.
  • Revisit your Turbo Reading bringing it in front of you next to your planner.
  • Simply let your reading and your planner be your focus for 3 minutes, no more, no less.
  • During this 3 minutes let your eyes wander over your cards, your Turbo Reading and your planner, let them open and close.  Simply do not interrupt the flow of what naturally happens for you. And, don’t take ANY notes mental or otherwise during this 3 minutes.  Oh cummon!  You’re not gonna miss your Great American Novel idea in 180 seconds . . . oh . . . wait.  180 did you say?  180 worlds of seconds occurring in 3 minutes. . . . all right all right land your magic carpet back in your chair.
  • During this 3 minutes let your eyes wander over your cards, your Turbo Reading and your planner, let them open and close.
  • As your 3 minutes of Silence (music going that you really really like all the while is wicked cool ok as music can be magical spirit and soul on the move concretely and often with fluid fluency. Yup, I distinguish between spirit and soul, yet that’s for another time. . .)
  • As your 3 minutes of Silence passes simply start writing what you are thinking in regards to turning your card reading into a daily lesson.  Keep up with yourself for 60 seconds, 1 minute.
  • Read over what you wrote without correcting or editing any of it.
  • What did you come to?
  • Work it a bit by rewriting slowly and neatly for 2 minutes working your problem with the goal to make a statement or expression as a daily lesson.  Great for you if something just clicks and you’re done.
  • Record your daily lesson in your planner, and leaving this process behind move into your day . . . or, leaving this process behind continue in your day.

I’ve found this to be effective at the start of the day, at mid-afternoon coffee/ginger ale or whatever floats your boat — something with hutzpah is best from my perspective — and as I close my day to forget into dreaming and revisit in the morning . . . at which point it gels even more or is sometimes happily discarded to do a new exercise for the new day.

Here’s An Example

I’ll use what came to mind earlier this morning.  I was thinking about sequence, and smiled at the simplicity and power of The Magician, The High Priestess, The Empress, and The Emperor as they were the fourfold formgivers in Spring of 2005 as I began The Mystereum Tarot.

“Why not do a check-in this far out with them.  What will they formgive for me today?”, I thought. So, I drew them out.  In 2005 it was something like “Magical formless first spark Magician, form given to formless by High Priestess as then The Empress carries to full term this new form, and four corners of a whole new world are fully located and ratified by The Emperor.

I smile.  Cool to me still, but it is also wonderfully hanging out with feet grounded on the magic carpet of poetry-philosophy something kind of thing.  So, today, I  II  III  &  IV brought forth 2 statements:

  • Mag HP Empress n Emperor: Ibis-eye Isis-see full treasure birthing in depths clearly.
  • Work the problem and you begin to magically give form to the formless. Carry your process to full term. Implement by proper placement.

There you go.  Notice that The Empress stepped back for me in the first of the 2 points above, and like a dance naturally stepped back in in the second to whiz-bang it!  I think it’s pretty dang whiz bang, ’cause I feel I can use that as a self-bossing mantra.  Every day a little more of that old boss goes away . . . as I realize more and more that I’m the old man now . . . in my firm at least.

How Will You Use Your Imagination Actionably With Mystereum Today?

Work the problem and you begin to magically give form to the formless.  How will you use Imagin-Action today?

Thanks for visiting this Mystereum segment. Here’s the 1st video I ever did

It’s only 51 seconds or some such.  Can’t get much from something so short, huh?  Bzrzrzrzzrzrzrz.  Try it and see for yourself.

Turbo Reading, making a single sentence or two AS your whole reading can step up your Tarot driving skills over time so your longer readings can more comfortably explore and bring you more treasures for the valuable time you spend doing them.  And, quick “rest stops” of Turbo Readings within your longer readings can provide scenic overlooks to keep your reading fresh, and/or act like a GPS system that guides you to TURN RIGHT BECAUSE THAT TREE OVER THEE IS COOL!

Tarot Turbo Reading with Mystereum’s Hierophant

Hierophant as not simply one card . . .

Major Arcana cards make cameo appearances in other cards throughout Tarot in the Land of Mystereum.  They appear throughout Mystereum in multiple cards, both other Majors and in Minors.  This is to add to, to inform Tarot character development through visual story and allusion.  I also felt that this multiple-cards-in-a-card visual story technique furthers the deck so The Minors . . . are not minimized.

They don’t start doing this after you learn them. They start doing this after you meet them, notice them in a “what’s that?” way, can pick their “face” out of a crowd so to speak.  Takes a little doing of course, yet play it like a movie . . . “Who’s that? What is THAT thing or person doing here?”

So, let’s see how many cards are in the Mystereum Hierophant

5 cards! including V The Hierophant

The 5 Mystereum Hierophant appearances are, and I will snippet a thought about each card relating to The Hierophant:

  • The Hierophant ~ an established down-to-earth spirit AS tradition.
  • The Page of Wands ~ Hierophant giving spiritually infused place to the base of the Page’s wand as he enters his Pentacle-y Court.
  • The Page of Pentacles ~ Hierophant centering up with on-high magic and fluid motion (that’s The Mag n Chariot flanking Hierodood)which adds The Magician and The Chariot cards which could make 7 cards to read for this one Hierophant card, though I’m sticking to the 5 directly related to The Hierophant for this one.
  • The Ace of Cups ~ Hierophant stretch-stands up and lends his inner and outer portrait to form the Ace’s Cup.
  • The Wheel ~ look at that UFO thingee kind of activity in the sky. And, the Libra symbol and the Om symbol.  Do those make a pun?  Why YES, they do!  The Libra symbol is also the electrical engineer’s symbol for the electrical unit called an “ohm.” Gonna stop there on this one for today.  Om Libra Ohm eclipsed Sun Aries Aquarius.

Turbo Read it?

Yup, put these 5 in a sentence or simple phrase using the above or whatever comes to you from your Tarot and life perspective.  One simple sentence is best, though a compound sentence can work, too.

I’ll chime in with:

Hierophant ~ Page of Wands ~ Page of Pentacles ~ Ace of Cups ~ The Wheel

Establish your own sense of place ~ and your energetic signature ~ will be grounded ~ and continually fulfilling ~ throughout time.

Your own signature sense of place continually energetically grounds and fulfills you.

Hmmmm, turn up the heat on the crucible with basil and rosemary and lemon pepper and oil . . .

and PESTO presto! I get from

Your own signature sense of place continually energetically grounds and fulfills you.

TO

Like your home, love your life!

Take this as far

Take this as far as you want like kneading bread.  Run up and down through your note-taking like improvising across musical scales, a note here, several of those notes there.  It’s only cooked to serve warm when you light up and resonate with one of your iterations.  Heck, if you change your mind, POOF it’s Par Baked bread.  Re-season it and stick it back in the oven.  Have fun Turbo Reading.  It’s a great technique to drum the tenor and set the overall tone for a reading.  Then, go back in and flesh it out on topic, the new topic you’ve come up with in the Turbo Reading that resonates with you.

2 Fives, huh?  V and 5 cards.

That’s plenty, right?  Here’s a little extra, though.  You may want to go look at the 5’s Birth Cards, too.  Best to the Temperance~Hierophant Tarot Birth Card Pair providing some things to chew on that resonate tastily for you.

Till next time!

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of the Hierophant

Presence-of Card Cameos. .

This visual expression of the cards themselves journeying around The Land of Mystereum is at the heart of the very structure of Mystereum.  We could call this opening up the epistemology of card divination, epistemology being philosophy of the study of how we know things.  We could call the card cameo appearances a Tarot etymology that expresses snapshots of the origins, the lineage of each card’s divination personality in their ongoing and living developed births of their appearances in your readings.  Interestingly enough, we can also simply say, . . .

“Cards in Tarot in the Land of Mystereum inform one another.”  Cards in the Land of Mystereum literally inform one another in the visual story of the cards where they appear.

Have some fun opening up and exploring this cameo appearance Presence-Of feature in The Land of Mystereum.  It is there to assist you in card inter-relationships and working with your intuition, to further inform the Imagination Tools gifted by Mystereum’s 192-page Imagination Primer book.  Pick a Major Arcana character in your Tarot in the Land of Mystereum deck.  Then, one by one, go through your deck.  See what full portions of the card and what out-takes or details appear in other cards.  Once you have walked through your deck and pulled the hangouts, the Presence-Of places of the card you have chosen, ask yourself . . .”How does this card contribute with its appearance in this other card?  What clue to this card’s identity does the guest appearance accentuate, how does it flesh out the card’s story?  Are these cards the same yet simply at different scales?  For example in the Imagination Primer the 3 of Swords expresses in a way that something beyond its grasp is formed that,

3 of Swords to Tower story excerpt

. . . It is important to take stock here when things are distorted or feelings that perplex or confuse you come up.  We have not built much here.  But, we have heard rumors that when lots of us (3 of Swords) get together over time left unchecked something called The Tower is formed. . . .”  Oh, so The Tower is both a natural phenomenon and also preventable at times?  Ohhhh the responsibility.  What else does this Presence-of quality indicate to you here?

So, on to the Tarot Presence-Of Hierophant Cameos

The Hierophant in The Land of Mystereum plays 4 visual storytelling parts, appears in 4 cards.  There is The Hierophant card of course, and as well The Hierophant makes Presence-Of cameos in the Page of Wands, the Page of Pentacles, and the Ace of Cups.  It felt very natural for The Hierophant to appear in this way as a perennial story-thread of a card further alluding to a sense of place throughout cards in The Land of Mystereum.  Why doesn’t The Hierophant appear more?  Well, maybe he really does.  Look at the UFO thingee above him.  Is this also present in a way in the sky above The Wheel?  This Mystereum character dictionary of appearances reaches out and symbolically spices up the deck in many places, like characters on stage in a play.  Mystereum is not a deck of card soliloquies or monologues.  The whole deck is inter-related both in visual and spoken story.

More cameos to come . . .

I will be elucidating the story of the appearance of each character and symbol individually in this Presence-Of series one by one.  So, for today, I will simply express the Hierophant’s appearance in of course his own card and as well these 3 others where he appears . . . directly.  Enjoy this additional dna thread of personality and identity structure that weaves through the fabric of The Land of Mystereum.

The Hierophant appearing

in The Hierophant card visually expresses the story of a living spirit coming down to the earth in groups of people landing and walking about up and down his pyramid, playing on his legs, swimming and boating in his water — a bit like the stick-figured wall in the cave scene in The English Patient.  Is The Hierophant sitting IN the pyramid?  Is the Hierophant sitting in Front of the pyramid?  As his gorilla self’s Highness appears to be floating in his lotus pose . . . Does his sitting IN the pyramid and in FRONT of the pyramid compose the throne of the psychological connection of that which is within to that which is about?  Why is the pyramid made of red earth, or is it rusted iron?  Why is his robe of the orange chakra’d sacral region?   Yellow of Sun above and below?  Oops whoopsie, there’s another Tarot Birth Card Set present with that above and below gig, the Temperance~Hierophant Tarot Birth Card Pair.  I’ll stop for now with the question about references.  This paragraph is about to get too long, and non-derivative things take a little getting used to, huh?  I like that Harold and Milo explore their strange new worlds and find them enlightenly strange.  Alice does this too, though, I don’t know her as well as Harold and Milo.

I’m glad I wasn’t aware of the concept of Tarot Birth Cards when I was divining Mystereum, and that still they naturally occurred for the most part in what I felt was yay or nay about images and compositions.  We’ll have to see as I go through this Presence Of series.  Similar to my not even ever hearing of the Hebrew character of samech until afterwards studying the Tree of Life, and go figure, samech IS the pattern of the composition in the Mystereum Temperance card.  Mystereum’s Temperance card has the visual  O  with a top-flourish of it of the samech symbol.  Gotta love archetypes. Gotta love not having to know, and discovering them nonetheless.  It’s not really reinventing the wheel you see as that’s mostly only good for a tire designer. Some people call it beginner’s mind.  That’s cool.  I know it as “forgetting is for getting.  It makes more room for the good stuff” and “discover the age-old wisdom natually present in your emotions” to quote myself from my set of tires so to speak.

The Hierophant

  • down-to-earth spirit
  • alien ships
  • the gnosis of the unknown emanating down and filling within and about to emanate resonantly into established knowing

The Hierophant appearing in the Page of Wands

card visually expresses the down-to-earth spirit of The Hierophant coming in at the base of the Page’s wand from the (unconscious) left.  There is an inception of the Hierophant’s established and wise down-to-earth spirit in this Page’s wand.  Is this indicative of his naturally expert skill in play that may be wise beyond his years?  Or, are kiddos simply smaller people, and people nonetheless?  Yup, I think.  With the core of personality pretty much fully developed by age 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 depending on which psychologist you speak to . . . The wise Hierophant imbues this Page’s wand to swipe through piss-poor socialization and magnetize the greatly further-formative experiences to his core personality . . . with ease and with the fearlessness of a child.  The Hierophant is here as well because the Pages are egg-teeth of sorts.  The Pages  both open the mundane egg of the world AND they act as the Marco Polo portal to the Higher Self egg-tooth penetrating into the Higher self, Your Royal Court in Mystereum.

The Hierophant cameoing in The Page of Wands

  • coming in and across through the Page’s wand to XI Strength on the tip end

The Hierophant appearing in the Page of Pentacles

  • There’s a Temperance-y above and below interplay between The Hierophant centered above (and flanked by The Magician and The Chariot) and the Page of Pentacles below being red-blue tatooed by his “magical down-to-earth-spirit on the move” of all 3 Pentacle.

The Hierophant appearing in the Ace of Cups

  • rising spirit to well up and fill to overflowing to replenish Source
  • welling up
  • spiritually fulfilling emotionally
  • the source of water (fulfillment) in my steps
  • the source of watery things in my steps

The Hierophant appearing in The Wheel

  • maybe this was simply an allusion to the Hierophant present, and maybe illusion . . . too.

Best to your own alchemical team

supporting your Self filling the seats to cheer on your play!  Consider these characters to already have season tickets to cheer on your strong play.  There are no cheap-seats in your game of life.  Play well.  Play with the down-to-earth strength of established spirit with The Hierophant and The Page of Wands, Page of Pentacles, and Ace of Cups as teammates.  Play with the magical strength of YOU!  The Wheel may simply be the timekeeper or line judge.

Check out previous Presence Of articles to discover more about the coordinated dynamism present to support and further inform your journey throughout The Land of Mystereum.

Thanks for visiting!  Best to this “Presence Of” series more fully elucidating one of the naturally hidden structures that are alive and well in Tarot in the Land of Mystereum.  Much like construction documents and specifications . . . suffice it to say that these cameo appearances are a lot like Consultant Coordination . . . strike that . . . they ARE Consultant Coordination of the family of players character to character throughout Mystereum.  Huh.  Who knew?  Drawing pretty pictures is the smallest part of an illustrator’s job, like card knowledge may be the smallest part of a reader’s job.  And, the more you know, the more you enhance Informed Intuition.  If you’ve ever learned to drive a standard transmission car . . . and how are you with it now?  What about an automatic?  How are you with it now?  Similar to intuition I say.

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of the Magician

Presence Of . . .

There is a cameo appearance theme of Major Arcana cards that appear throughout the Mystereum Tarot deck in multiple cards, both other Majors and in Minors to inform their story further so as not to minimize The Minors.  This visual expression of the cards themselves journeying around The Land of Mystereum is at the heart of the very structure of Mystereum.  We could call this opening up the epistemology of card divination, epistemology being philosophy of the study of how we know things.  We could call the card cameo appearances a Tarot etymology that expresses snapshots of the origins of each card’s divination personality in their ongoing and living birth in your readings.  Interestingly enough, we can also simply say, “Cards in Tarot in the Land of Mystereum inform one another.”  Cards in the Land of Mystereum literally inform one another in the visual story of the cards where they appear.  They don’t start doing this after you learn them. They start doing this after you meet them, and notice them, can pick their “face” out of a crown so to speak.

Have some fun opening up and exploring this cameo appearnace feature of Mystereum.  It is there to assist you in working with your intuition, to further inform the Imagination Tools gifted by Mystereum’s 192-page Imagination Primer book.  Pick a Major Arcana character in your Tarot in the Land of Mystereum deck.  Then, one by one, go through your deck.  See what full portions of the card and what out-takes or details appear in other cards.  Once you have walked through your deck and pulled the hangouts of the card you have chosen, ask yourself, “How does this card contribute with its appearance in this other card?  What clue to this card’s identity does the guest appearance accentuate, how does it flesh out the card’s story?

Presence Of The Magician, Tarot Presence of the Mystereum Magician

The Magician in The Land of Mystereum plays 2 visual storytelling parts, appears in 2 cards.  There is The Magician card, and as well The Fool guest stars, makes a cameo appearance in The Page of Pentacles.  It felt very natural for The Magician to appear in this way as a perennial thread of a card further alluding to a sense of place throughout cards in The Land of Mystereum.  Why doesn’t The Magician appear more?  Well, maybe he really does.  Look at the tattoos on his arms.  This Mystereum symbol dictionary reaches out and symbolically spices up the deck in many places.  I will be elucidating the story of the appearance of each symbol individually in this Presence Of series.  So, for today, I will simply express the Magician’s appearance in of course his own card and as well in The Page of Pentacles.  Enjoy this additional dna thread of personality and identity structure that weaving through the fabric of The Land of Mystereum.

The Magician appearing

in The Magician card visually expresses the story of a living transformation in his own card.  Is it that his head is bowed?  Have his eyes expanded to resonate in the magical flight of watching in his raised eye-wings like a luna moth that actually sees with its method of flight?  What about his touch?  At the horizon between air and water, at the surface of the water, at his elbows his arms transform into underwater calves with feet.  These feet are supported by the deep blue water of the earth below the surface.  His magical eye-wings synchromesh with the sun above, and the sun is itself expresses the integrated inner opposites of antinomy.  There is an eclipse that occurs in the sun, an eclipse that is The Sun card appearing with a wink.  The Sun winks, and magically, there is an inner eclipse.  The Wheel’s spokes as the rays of the sun? Most definitely.  And, whoopsie, there’s another Tarot Birth Card Set of The Sun~The Wheel~The Magician present.

I’m glad I wasn’t aware of the concept of Tarot Birth Cards when I was divining Mystereum, and that still they naturally occurred for the most part in what I felt was yay or nay about images and compositions.  We’ll have to see as I go through this Presence Of series.  Similar to my not even ever hearing of the Hebrew character of samech until afterwards studying the Tree of Life, and go figure.  Mystereum’s Temperance card has the visual O with a top-flourish of it.  Gotta love archetypes.

The Magician appearing

in The Page of Pentacles card visually expresses the magic occuring in the expert skill in play of the Page of Pentacles, the expert skill in play of Marco Polo opening up his treasure hull into the Higher Court  Or, The Magician simply appears above the Page of Pentacles’ own pentacle, appears as a team with The Hierodood and The Chariot shining as sun=rays above compositionally.  Not an accident.  Note that the Page’s pentacle becomes colorful in red and blue tattooing as it encounters his neck and shoulder.  And, look at all that orange on the ground. And, what’s that dark blue thingee?  The Magician may be soldly Page-messaging about the magic that occurs as the root (chakra) synchromeshes with the throat/voice (chakra).  Kundalini rising and / or that awesome feeling when our own Page, standing with the sun at his feet, solidly lifts his head to resonate in our experiences?  The stop in stopping to smell the roses may have to do with one’s feet, though it seems the irony is expressed by The Page of Pentacles here.  Stop and smell the roses.  With The Magician, The Hierophant, and The Chariot in your Page of Pentacles, you may feel solidly magical and down-to-earth-spirit on the move.  What do YOU feel when you literally smell a rose?

Page of Pentacles Mag features:

  • Magician’s water-legs solidify in the pentacle
  • watering the playfully pensive Page’s concrete imagination with magic
  • Magician appears on top left = 45 degrees into Quadrant II = 135 degrees; also = from the unconscious
  • Magician flanks Hierophant in the middle above, also counterparts with The Chariot either side of The Hierophant
  • water gives way for Chariot gold sun . . . is the brightness of The Hierophant’s still waters running deep
  • Subtle Mag detail changes = form-giver for The Page of Pentacles
  • The core of the Magician’s Fabric of One tattoo is white here rather than gold.  It has emerged off of his arm to gift this Page his Pentacle
  • the magical eye-wings fill with water
  • flesh sky becomes lavendar, moonlit
  • Mag head / heart is now flesh vs deep blue. Cf also magical eye-wings filling with water
  • underwater puzzle-piece wing-tails of The Mag with the Chariot Sun

Best to your own alchemical team

The 411 on One’sness’ 2-Lane Highway: Death, The Wheel, & The iMAG-iNation

The 411! A Revisionist Birthcard Combo? ;-D
“Studies show that one out of one people experience death, maybe you will, too.”
~ Dr. Janet Noever
“Life. None of us are getting out alive. Enjoy it!”
~ Comedian, “Lazyboy TV” cd
“Be comfortable with the not-knowing NOW. Your imagination is there for you.  Does yours work in your best interest?”
~ Jordan Hoggard
“Mastery leads to further discovery.”
~ Jordan Hoggard
ON DEATH AND IMAGINATION: This one is a little longer article. May I suggest to pick paragraphs like apples, and plant the seeds?
You knocked on the right door.  Thanks for visiting!  I’ve been thinking about this over the last year. . .
Have you ever picked up distinctions between different kinds of not-knowing, or unknowns, in your life? There feels to be a connection between, death, imagination, and living. There are of course connections and disconnects between everything all the time. . .
I see death and the not-knowing to form a 2-lane highway, both lanes 2-way, that go in the both directions forward and back. Do both utilize imagination in one way or another? Does death have to merge at some point lest it be a dead-end on that highway? Do we simply merge with it?
The way I look at it is that we are inherently imaginative even in a deceptively simple way as a primal survival mechanism. We tend to think forward, to literally imagine the future. What if I do this? Or, that? Or, those? And, in that I say, if you know what’s going to happen, why do it? There would certainly be no serendipity there, no surprises to catalyze further interest, you already know what is going to happen.  But, do you? Have you ever experienced familiar surroundings differently doing the same ole actions you have done there before? I have. And, there is where I see this 2-lane highway, both lanes 2-way forward and back, forward to the future with dreams, and back to the past with memories. If I drop time out of the metaphysical experience for ya, aren’t memory and dream very similar? Both float-orbiting weightlessly in mind? I am not going to do the boring “what is mind, Jordan?” dictionary-pulling conversation stopper here.  I will leave that to people who like to be annoying. I know what I know, and I don’t know what I don’t know, and catching truth in regard to mind may simply be a philospshical game of catch-the-greased-pig-while-you-are-blinfolded-with-your-hands-tied-behind-your-back.  I can think of better uses there without the pig.
If we imagine forward into the future and only come to death, it would only be a disheartening, deflating dead end, and imagination would probably have evolved away way back some time. Yet, still that does not often induce, “ok, so why keep doing anything? No matter what, none of us are getting out alive. What’s the point? I saw death, and it kinda killed everything back to now.” Seems, though, we are not hard-wired that way.  Even people who have nead death experiences (NDEs) are often better goal-setters and planners while at the same time are successful WHILE they take things in stride at speed, often utilizing both positive and negative surprises as free, catalyzing serendipity along the way.
And, that is where rather than avoiding the not-knowing, I feel it more of a rationalizing of death to, “Well, so death comes from this which is a big thing.  Are their more coolio even BIGGER things with this imagination stuff?”
And, like Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park says, “life finds a way,” which is where my other lane comes in.  So, we imagine past death.  Did that create reincarnation?  In the same way if we imagine past birth, do we experience past life scenarios? Hmmm.  Both seem to play in to an irrational and EXTREMELY NECESSARY optimism whereby imagination is like an awake-dream, and we can of course compose the same future scenario differently, but I feel we also re-remember our pasts where like Samuel Johnson stated, then “hope triumphs over experience” and we LEARN from experience even capitalizing on failures. Is that to say something is true the way happened, but can be more true the way we tell it? Can be more nourishing the way we incorporate it into our life? That links to storytelling, but I would say more to cherry-picking the perennials in our past to forget the crapola and support the things worth remembering, and also visualizing in to the future to nourish our upcoming new perennials.
I sometimes wonder if creating the Mystereum Tarot and then evolving it into The Land of Mystereum was a balancing gesture forme.  Was I weighted down and filling up one of these 2 lanes more than the other? I mean, I have almost died on a mountain, a 14’er.  I have almost died on a mountain, stuck 45 feet up with no way down except to climb back down the vertical face but my hands were blowing out, or of course let go which would have had SUCH a quicker solution time. ;-D.  I got shocked in my 17-foot ceiling in my studio in Denver years back while standing on top of an 8-foot ladder as a friend held it. I had to change a light bulb, not a common almost-croaking scenario–but, as well I was grabbing things with the back of my hands, too. In a 150 year old building, you can tug on one thing and then POOF molten tin ceiling tiles from a wire crossing and falling above the ceiling. X-raying the ceiling has never been one of my strong points when changing a light bulb. So, there is that dang irrational positivity we can utilize to make the best out of even tricky and dangerous and even life-threatening situations. With the light bulb incident, rather than freaking out standing on the top of the ladder, even while being electrocuted (not of course in a power line way but more a “get a free home-perm” way) I steady-froze my balance standing on top of the ladder and simply tucked my head and squinted so I could still see as the spew of molten tin ceiling tiles shrapnel fire-fell and cascaded over me.  Lotsa holes burned in my shirt, but in that instant I knew that steady was better than falling from 8-feet up. Fight or flight would have killed me. Steady and turning the other cheek, well, both, though, wasn’t fighting OR fleeing. Do you hmmph like an old librarian with purple hair to say, “The ladder SAYS not to stand that high on it.  Wasn’t smart to be there in the first place. You brought this on yourself.” I do not know which is worse, hmmmphing, or the guests coming over later for dinner to eat in the dark?
Not many people fear for your safety and life when you chime out that you are heading to the bank. But, we never know do we?  We never know. . .hmmm. . .what do we really know?  The sky is up?  It is even sometimes blue? And, sometimes blue, like an orange? Thanks Andre Breton. Seems all of those experiences I expressed just now about ALMOST dieing are about being UP, and not being able to come down. Is it no matter that there was a pattern that would tell any normal person to stay on the ground? Neh, I do not feel that getting cowered or beaten down by our experiences is the point of life. Life is to experience. I’ve never seen a cosmic D-Hall. . .maybe because I had enough of that waaaaay back in school.  Even if it would seem I may have been egging those experiences on to a great degree, literally and systematically challenging myself to death, ONE, I am still here, and two, it was better than doing nothing. Back then I would much rather go to a mountain and camp than sit on a couch and order pizza.  I do see the error there now, though, if there are coupons involved. ;-D.  So, no need to go into samurai or ninja or warriors or duels from the perspective of those experiences indicating past-life content surfacing. Can if you want to, but. . .I think that that is the way I was/am/will be hard-wired to a degree, and there’s not much static about that. More a WEEEEEEEEEE, but possibly a little less annoyingly funny than the pig in the Geico commercial.. Wits come waaaaayyyy naturally, just like grace under fire, and that I even perform under pressure optimally like I am sipping tea. So, I use ’em when necessary, they tell me something I KNOW about myself. . .yet still . . .
The above is expressed less to talk about me, but more to inform this 2-lane idea thingee from my personal experience which I have no need of either repeating or proving, to provide some experiential things to chew on.  Life doesn’t seem to be a repeat the experiment to prove something gig, more a repeat things for discipline, ritual, study, improvement, meditation, journeying, payment, etc etc.
So, I often wonder if Mystereum on all of its forms from 2005 until 2008, and then 2009-2010 when I completed The Land of Mystereum really did NOT take 5 years.  Did it take my whole life up to that point? All of my life experience infusing a WHOLE land? Gotta say a definitive and enthusiastic yes to that.  But, was the catalyst form-giver in 2005 in my garden really like a psychic gear being shifted? A psychic gear that when switched then stepped on the gas to gun it out of the dead-end death-challenge lane into the other lane to go beyond the death I had pretty much just almost gotten to, and in many cases while painting always felt I had gone beyond? Gone over the horizon so to speak? To switch into the re-remembering forward and back on a discovery where I could metaphysically and actively drop time out of the equation? And, dropping time out the past and future became synonomous.  The past became memory, the future became dream, and both live weightlessly, floating to a degree, and are naturally supported in their orbits in the mind/consciousness/unconsciousness. . .and Everything is in Everything in the continual flow of switching focus and re-orchestrating momentum.  I dig Ken Wilbur, but he is from the last 100 years.  He can bite some credit from the Everything is in Everything cake, but it is an age-old idea.  A medicine man around a campfire thousands of years ago would be my first go-to there.
So, do I dismiss too many distinctions when I do not define “mind”? Frankly, that incessant word-definition in conversation is boring.  Conversationus interruptus with, “What do you mean by mind?” etc ad infinitum ad neauseum. Maybe no fault of their’s.  Maybe people who do that simply do not comprehend the sanctuary a good question will positiviely provide in a conversation.  But, I digress. To pull back from death? Nope. I seem to be driving the other lane, now. I much rather seal the deal and say mindbodybeautiful where though there are a great many opoosites together, it is not so much a dulaity, but more so an antinomy–a totality of inner opposites functioning in real-time (whether there or not) at speed in play in life.
So, back to “what was the form-giver catalyst for Mystereum?” I don’t really need to know, but since it strikes me as important, I know my process well enough to sniff on down that trail for the goods. Maybe it is that I started getting lop-sided, that there was too much or simply enough experience with the death gig already, AND that I would often say about my paintings, “If I go down and start painting, don’t worry if I don’t come back.  I always go over the horizon and I have no clue if it is dangerous or not, and that may mean I am going beyond death in my active hand-paint-drum-strokes of trancedance rhythmically drum-dance-stroking the colors across the canvas. It also may simply mean I am able to dance with my shadow in a land of imagination consciously. Damn Neptunian boundaryless-concept boundaries. Hi Pluto.” And, I’d toddle off into the studio.  All that then was more to mess with roommates than anything. And then those attempts at some-truth humor . . . How much direct foreshadowing is THAT?! 😀
As you are probably aware a rhythmic drumming is often used in shamanic journey work to facilitate travel.  I simply came to it naturally after the intense physical and sitting meditations in the martial arts.  That serves up a great deal of my skepticism to the ooh la laaaas of “oh it blew my mind, man” like people describing LSD trips and it and gets back to, (grimacing)”Stop talking about it, and go do it then. It’s yours” kinda thing.  I always hmmphin’ shook my head when offered acid or similar with, “DOOD, that’s so like batteries not included in the Christmas toy of your mind.  My model has that standard and at will and mostly most all the time.  Enjoy yourself, though.” You see, that’s THEIR gig, and that’s ALL them. Jerry Seinfeld might say something here. I remember a writer friend coming back after doing mushrooms on a hike.  He had asked to watch me paint in oils one day to see if it would give him a story. I obliged happily so long as he agreed NO MATTER what with NO exceptions that once we were in the studio he was not to say anything at all or get up and leave and disrupt the process. I suggested he was about to go on a road trip with me as I painted, so he might wanna visit the lou.  He had watched my pupils naturally widen to almost all black as I painted. Mentioned afterwards that all he could think was “Dog. Food. Do NOT get between them.” Pretty funny. Don’t think I would have attacked him. The big pupils were more of an actively creative taking-all-senses-in-in-motion-in-action as I painted.  So, he came back in after his shroom gig on a boulder yelling out to get me to come from wherever in the house I was.  “OK, Man. How do I say this? I STILL don’t understand you AT all. You swim SO easily in complex, unconscious areas.  But, the shrooms made EVERYTHING so vivid today!  The thought came to me that I might have been sensing what you feel ALL the time.”  Couldn’t tell you.  I have always said my mind was aleady too Ferrari’d to go sticking some fuel booster crap in it. But, I like what he said.  Some are hard-wired to experience psychic contents like looking at art in a museum.Born with a foot in both sides? I believe my astrologer when she says yes to that.
Well, this is a meandering story written to as a reel to draw out a mini-memoire through the biography of an idea, the idea now living of The Land of Mystereum.  I think, though, that moving meanderingly like on a new trail, and expansively AND recording it in ways that archetypally have more to do with everyone rather than being only personal, The Mystereum Tarot and The Land of Mystereum are visual and word stories that took me to power up the rest of my noggin’ in creating and making them to experience more fully the right-on-the-money inklings I seem to have always had instant access to, yet for the most part though I utilized them in architecture, I took them for granted as well. . .like the way I took the Death card in a reading I performed on The Tarot Guild’s internet radio show. . .where I pretty much ran laps around the R.I.P. idea of death in my mind in about 1/2 a second and POOF saw instead the death of her old relationship, and then frankly ran laps around the High Priestess just as quickly to spark, “I feel it is coming from an outside source.” Where did that come from? Channelling? I may channel my energies, focus them, but that’s the imagination at work. Channelling from my perspective is not about getting OUT of the way, but more fully inhabiting the way to be IN the way. Is channelling expression of one’s inner divinity being powered up and further infused and informed by a larger divine source? I ill simply say Everything is in Everything.  There is a whole universe in the focused frame of any scale you choose to focus on.  And, more so, I feel that inner divinity being energized is indicative of our imagination’s 4-banger engine cycling with: 1-idea; 2-creativity; and 3-intuition.  The 4th cylinder is the silence, the space between the other three always swimming them into and through the experience of their living relationships with one another in each of our creative processes.  In that Tarot Guild radio show reading I had never said that about those cards before.  But, in the context of a reading, the expectations in the present tense all die, or are removed, resurrected, or infused . . .well. . .as they are in each reading, and each one is different. . .like the endless imagination lane or orbit-around an orbit in an orbit — moon orbiting the earth orbiting the sun orbiting in the solar system in a galaxy that is probably in orbit, too, etc etc, and that to me is SO NOT ad infinitum ad nauseum but way cool. Readings are similar to my Stargazer Lilies blooming each year in a graden years back.  They always look the same, and they unfurl subtly differently, and I never found this repetitive gig boring.  Quite the contrary, I anticipated their brilliant golden glow every year, just like my purple Crocus noses popping up 1st to indicate Here Comes Spring!
All in all, I think about death more and more now that Mystereum is living, but that doesn’t worry me.  It simply indicates to me that I feel I have developed my imagination up to and maybe past the near-death intensities I experienced on mountains, grown a more expansive AND balanced sense of things, that I have gotten the inevitability of death to partner the power of its inevitability with the power of my imagination, and in that I will go out on a limb to say that whatever imagination is, THAT is what I find transcends death, and it can do it to infuse life in life in an every day kind of way. . .which is pretty much where my “Death As The Master Gardener” article in the Themed Personifications section of my blog came from.  It also has a lot to do with my,”Success and mastery are not effective when they lead to megolomania or egomania. Those are qualities of a dead-in-the-water life in motion.  Success and mastery are there to lead to further discovery.”  Further discovery ’cause I lived and was able to come off the top of the mountain alive and continue to discover? Possibly.  Possibly a masterful command of the obvious.  Like my Stargazer Lilies blooming. But, “Mastery leads to further discovery.” I rather like that one as much as I like my perennials blooming.  Another one of “When I listen to myself, literally hear the importance of what I say, I really tell myself what to do in a way that’s not too complex, and really more subtle.  Pretty much a masterful command of the obvious.” After creating the Mystereum Tarot card images, I began to more clearly experience a quality of decptive simplicity I have.  I began to say more with less, and maybe even talk a blue mile better. ;-D  These days I hope that blue mile is more of spinning an interesting yarn in my work that provides some welcome resonances with people.
To initially sum it up. Imagination and death from my mind are a 2-lane highway where death continually prune-preens chaff out of ideas, intuition, and creativity, and keeps the spce between them clean and flowing, like Psychic Feng Shui for your 4-charactered voice of idea, creativity, intuition, and the space between as my (functionally inter-related component parts description) of Imagination. Call imagination Feng Shui for the mind, the psyche.  Nice, psyche AS room. . .in the Sacred Temple of Your Mindbodybeautiful Self.  And, Imagination is just as present and inevitable as death, and I feel it may in fact transcend death.  With butt in the chair, time naturally drops out of the equation.  2 hours may feel like a whole day.  I feel and think/know that dilates when we create.  And, add the continued ability to be punctual to the mix, and you can create things on schedule.  That said, squinching my nose and chuckling, I only see it as prudent to be late to my own funeral.  I should go ahead and add myself to the guest list instead to really set that up. Bettin’ death doesn’t have a truant officer. ;-D
And, now, to round this all up, I will yin-yang-symbol it. Yin-yang-symbol as a verb. Think of the yin-yang symbol as a lush diagram of your whole imagination.  Imagination surrounds the black dot of the wormhole of death. Imagination surrounds the white dot of the wormhole of birth.  I couldn’t tell you which is the black paisley field or the white paisley field, though, because you can switch all those nouns and substitute death for imagination.  It works both ways.  Again, everything in everything. I feel this expresses the female, yin, creation concept of the completeness of living things + the male, yang, concept of perfectionism or finality in ongoing tuning and tailoring pretty nicely as a single totality working together. The bad guys wear white in chinese theatre. Here they mostly wear black. So, does that simply then make the ball of the earth itself the indication from the visual metaphor of the yin-yang symbol? Is the earth then its own symbol of self AS itself as the diagram of the supreme ultimate like with taijutsu’s expression of yin-yang? The earth is also a concretized and living form-diagram of Gaia.
Are you about to ask where The Wheel and The Magician are in the text?  I will suggest to read the cards for that part. There may be more there than these words. But, here’s a nudge:

Ones: Birth-Placing Clarity

Tarot Birth Identities:

Ones: Birth-Placing Clarity With The Sun ~ The Wheel ~ The Magician

Welcome to my Tarot Birth Card Identity Blog!  This blog is intended to be a simple overview of Tarot Birth Cards, a casual and concise walk-through of the groupings of Birth Cards to express some of the ways that they can contribute vital components to identity.  Also, I will layer in Birth Card Preludes afterwards to express the whole of each Birth Card grouping in a short statement.  I find that these Preludes, as I like to call them, are best stated afterward first as triggers to remind one how the Birth Cards can integrate an overall expression of the Birth Cards.  Enjoy finding your own path with these, and look forward to hearing your own, personal “trigger” Preludes and Birth Card thoughts directly composed from your feeling-sense of them.

Note also how these Birth Card expressions and Preludes factor in to hook up and work with my video like the Mystereum Tarot Moment for the Ace of Pentacles.  Enjoy the correspondences of the numbers as they flow back and forth between the Major Arcana in the Birth Cards and each of the suits of the Minor Arcana and Courts in the videos.  Also, I encourage you to have some fun and come up with integrated Birth Card Preludes on your own for the Aces through the Tens, and as well Your Royal Court characters.  You will experience an example Prelude below.

So, to start for example with a 3-card Birth Card combo, the first card can represent the person’s Outer Expression.  The 2nd card can be their Added Incentive.  And, the third card can represent their Inner Expression.  So for example with the Birth Card Chart combo of a XIX, X, I; 19, 10, 1; The Sun ~ Wheel ~ Magican:

19 is the Outer Expression10 is the Added Incentive 1 is the Inner Expression

For a 10, 1 combo: 10 is the Outer Expression1 is the Inner Expression.  A Prelude of your own making can create and make your own brand of an Added Incentive integrated, hiding in plain sight, and /or simply inherent from your perspective.

So, let’s get started walking through these shall we?

BIRTH CARD IDENTITIES: ONES

THE SUN ~ THE WHEEL ~ THE MAGICIAN

[ XIX ~ X ~ I ]   [ 19 ~ 10 ~ 1 ]
Note how the numbers of these cards each add up to reduce to 1, and thus also correspond with the Aces in general.

One’s Birth Card Prelude: With The Sun ~ Wheel ~ Magician as your Birth Cards you have the ability to tap into magical cycles of identity.     A Birth Card Prelude can be as simple as a few words, and as inviting and expansive as the title of a book, the ever-evolving book of You!

See how this simple Prelude statement expresses the 3 characters as facets of one personality:

The Sun ~ identity        The Wheel ~ cycles      The Magician ~ magical

Putting them back together again, and note that the attributes are utilized in reverse.  That’s your call: With The Sun ~ Wheel ~ Magician as your Birth Cards you have the ability to tap into magical cycles of identity.

The Sun card represents your Outer Expression.  This is how most people ‘see’ you in the world.  The Sun card is known for its subtle strength of constancy.  With The Sun card representing your Outer Expression experience the subtle strengths of the constancy of your perspective and presence as you brightly express yourself.  Know that even when it is overcast or dark or you experience emotional weather, you shine somewhere regardless.  Keep sight of what you brighten.

The Wheel of Fortune represents your Added Incentive.  This is a card of synchronicity, cause and effect and what many call karma.  When the Wheel of Fortune is part of your Added Incentive you can expect to feel catalyzed as you move through and into new cycles in your life.

The Magician represents your Inner Expression.  This is a side of you that only your closest family and friends ‘see’.  The Magician as your Inner Expression symbolizes that you present things clearly, but subtly distorted from the way others might expect.  You have a uniquely complete thought process and imagination to infuse your actions.

Hope you have enjoyed this Birth Card Identity and Birth Card Prelude I have put together for you.  Comments always welcome.  Look forward to hearing from you in Your Tarot voice!  Powerfully evocative and life-ful Tarot experiences to You and Yours!
