Tarot Tarot. Mystereum. Full Frontal Friday

Tarot Tarot. Mystereum. Full Frontal Friday

It’s Full Frontal Friday in The Land of Mystereum!  What happens when cards have a head-on collision? Is it total destruction? Or, is it more like the Summer Run activities at CERN where two atoms are charged at one another . . . to explode into energy, to become another new thing altogether?

Make Mind Movies With Your Cards

I don’t know much more than that about atoms, though here’s a Full Frontal Tarot Thought: Do cards coming together become one resonant thing like all the things that come together to make . . . a movie?  The story.  The visuals.  The music!  YES!  What about when one of your pivotal experiences from early in life comes full frontal head-on core to core with a current scene in your life?  Does it birth an evolution of the idea, a higher octave and very effective iterated new version of itself?  Or, does it make something else entirely?

Think about the movie The 300.  There is the early scene about King Leonitas and the wolf and the winter cold.  Leonitas slowly and steadily backs into a crack of a cave, and as the wolf charges BAM he zap-plunges his staff . . . and arrives back to Sparta heralding his Self-leadership proving himself as the new king in a new fur coat certainly not bought at Macy’s with his allowance, begotten by his bold and courageous focused action. And, in the end, the Battle of Thermopylae, Leonitas revisits that one act from early in his life with the wolf and the winter cold.  The wolf and the winter cold functions as his whole strategy against Xerxes’ wolf of a much larger army as Leonitas dispatches most of his army home to remain with 300 of his men in one of the most famous last stands ever.  The seed of his early experience with the wolf and the winter cold evolves into his method of organizing his whole scene, and a whole army.  Is this not like cards coming together in an imaginatively actionable way?  One small, though potently memorable scene from before becomes a fully developed and orchestrated plan for King Leonitas in the Pass at Thermopylae. . . Plus, there’s an amazing love scene between King Leonitas and Queen Gorgo. Actually, it’s better than that. It’s a full frontal bold YEAH kind of scene.

So, Let’s Back Up. Let’s Revisit Full Frontal Movies of the Mind In A Small Pass

through the 2 of Swords.  Does your card have a woman with two Swords crossed?  This woman blindfolded with a watery emotional scene behind her?  Isn’t the scene behind her possibly the Full Frontal Movie Of Her Mind?

The 2 of Swords in The Land of Mystereum

has the “crossing” of two Swords coming together to focus on the whole world of an inner Movie of the Mind scene.  It presents a sharpened focus between the two Swords that changes, like a magnifying glass changes, the world of what you are focused on to see it more clearly and in doing so TRANSFORM it into an inner scene.  Focus on something.  Isn’t it like unsheathing the sword from its scabbard?  Don’t you see it in a whole new light?

Let’s get Full Frontal serious here, and POOF, layer in a video.  Sorry, no war here, just a sneaky Newsman.  You’ll NEVER guess what he got into the news.  WOW, it’s a 4-letter word in Newsland.

Notice how The Newsman looks around before saying “Tarot.”  Is he worried. Neh.  That’s just the doorway, the portal to . . .He’s about to slip in an evocative story-snippet in a poetic way, and we all know that poetry doesn’t make the news. Poetry is a 4-letter word in Newsland.  In Newsland first, they have the killings, then the weather, and a couple of times a week they OH THE DRAMA spice it up with . . . you guessed it, The Lottery. Slipping in a short and poetic example in the news is unheard of . . . is Full Frontal Bold.  GO NEWSMAN!!

Experience The Ace of Swords’ in its full frontal telling of its creation story directly from its perspective.

What subtlety informs the Movie Scene of Your Mind when things come together, one being a higher octave evolution of the other? Like I’ve visually-with-no-words added the CERN-style energies of the Queen and King of Wands above, what comes together when you experience a card in the Movie Scene of Your Mind?

How is Tarot a portal to YOUR amazing 4-letter words out in the open?  Poetry?  STILL can’t believe he snuck that in there, and all in under a minute. He should get an award!

Rockin’ness to Your Full Frontal Friday

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of the Hermit

Presence-of Card Cameos . . .

Major Arcana cards make cameo appearances in other cards throughout Tarot in the Land of Mystereum.  They appear throughout Mystereum in multiple cards, both other Majors and in Minors.  This is to add to, to inform Tarot character development through visual story and allusion.  I also felt that this multiple-cards-in-a-card visual story technique furthers the deck so The Minors . . . are not minimized.

This visual expression of the cards themselves journeying around The Land of Mystereum is at the heart of the very structure of Mystereum.  We could call this opening up the epistemology of card divination, epistemology being philosophy of the study of how we know things.  We could call the card cameo appearances a Tarot etymology that expresses snapshots of the origins, the lineage of each card’s divination personality in their ongoing and living developed births of their appearances in your readings.  Interestingly enough, we can also simply say, . . .

Can You pick a face out of a crowd?

“Cards in Tarot in the Land of Mystereum inform one another.”  Cards in the Land of Mystereum literally inform one another in the visual story of the cards where they appear.  They don’t start doing this after you learn them. They start doing this after you meet them, notice them in a “what’s that?” way, can pick their “face” out of a crowd so to speak.  Takes a little doing of course, yet play it like a movie . . . “Who’s that? What is THAT thing or person doing here?”

Have some fun opening up and exploring this cameo appearance Presence-Of feature in The Land of Mystereum.  It is there to assist you in card inter-relationships and working with your intuition, to further inform the Imagination Tools gifted by Mystereum’s 192-page Imagination Primer book.  Pick a Major Arcana character in your Tarot in the Land of Mystereum deck.  Then, one by one, go through your deck.  See what full portions of the card and what out-takes or details appear in other cards.  Once you have walked through your deck and pulled the hangouts, the Presence-Of places of the card you have chosen, ask yourself . . .”How does this card contribute with its appearance in this other card?  What clue to this card’s identity does the guest appearance accentuate, how does it flesh out the card’s story?  Are these cards the same yet simply at different scales?  For example in the Imagination Primer the 3 of Swords expresses in a way that something beyond its grasp is formed that,

So, on to the Tarot Presence-Of The Hermit Cameos

The Hermit in The Land of Mystereum plays 4 visual storytelling parts, appears in 4 cards.  There is The Hermit card of course, and as well The Hermit character makes Presence-Of cameos in Death, Ace of Wands, and 2 of Wands.  It felt very natural for The Hermit to appear in this way as a perennial story-thread of a card’s character further alluding to and contributing personality to the sense of place throughout these 4 cards in The Land of Mystereum.  Why doesn’t The Hermit appear more?  Well, maybe he/she really does, and then again there are 4 appearances to 9’s mirror his 4-cornered world of inner identity and illumination.  This Mystereum visual character dictionary of storied appearances reaches out to symbolically spice up the deck in many places, like in the 4-charactered stage in The Hermit’s play.  Mystereum is not a deck of card soliloquies or monologues.  The whole deck is inter-related both in visual and spoken story, and each card embraces their identity as well. The Land of Mystereum is really a land, a place of divination in community with itself within and about where “All Similar, Each Unique.”

The Hermit appearing

in The Hermit card visually expresses the story of shining a light on your mysteries and confusion, turning over the pretty rocks of your beliefs to discover the treasure they hide.  With The Hermit discover your outer stillness as you actively walk the cloister of your mind.  Look up through your crown into your Psychic Sky.

I like that Mystereum’s Major Arcana characters explore The Land of Mystereum much like Harold and Milo explore their strange new worlds and find them enlightenly entertaining.  Alice does this too, though, I don’t know her as well as Harold and Milo, and Mystereum is about higher octave yang energies and putting them to conscientious use.

The Hermit cameos twice in Death

  • Hermit image on both forward and back flowing banners.
  • inner life is the herald connecting past and future.
  • through The Hermit all things are continuous much like The Hermit may be the Psychic Synapse of experience.

The Hermit appearing in The Ace of Wands

  • as the Wand holder.
  • as the one who cracks open the alchemical egg, the crucible of night, into the day.
  • as the one who compasses and squares a location to give it genius loci, making location into place with the energy of crafted identity.
  • the emanator.
  • infused and active inner energy and journey.
  • Ace of Wands as source of genius loci.

The Hermit cameoing in The 2 of Wands

  • BECOMING the alchemical egg, the crucible of night, that has been cracked open into the day.
  • AS the maker of the puzzle pieces of night and day in the Psychic Sky.
  • Analogy of The Hermit AS twilight in the Ace of Wands, the energetic place of beginning ALSO as the magical space between, the moment after crossing the Psychic Synapse, the first concrete step IN a new place.

Best to your own alchemical team

supporting your Self in Your Royal Court of Higher Self filling the seats of Your Court to cheer on your expert skill expressed in play!  Consider these characters to already have season tickets to cheer on your strong play.  There are no cheap-seats in your game of life.  Play well.  Play with the vibrant motions established by The Hermit, Death, The Ace of Wands, and The 2 of Wands as teammates. Here is expressed quite a band of allies for your journeys within and about.  Play with the vibrant strength of their inner motion YOUR WAY!  The Hermit may also be a symbol of your inner light that both reflects and is also unmoved by outside influences . . . like the Moon in the Hermit’s sky, and there’s your next Birth Card Pair, the Moon~Hermit Tarot Birth Cards.

Check out previous Presence Of articles to discover more about the coordinated dynamism present to support and further inform your journey throughout The Land of Mystereum.

Thanks for visiting!  Best to this “Presence Of” series more fully elucidating one of the naturally hidden structures that are alive and well in Tarot in the Land of Mystereum to round out your inner team’s work.  Who knew?  Drawing pretty pictures is the smallest part of my job.  And, the more you know, the more you enhance informing your intuition.  If you’ve ever learned to drive a standard transmission car . . . and how are you with it now?  What about an automatic?  How are you with it now?  Similar to intuition I say, similar to Mystereum.  At first there are a lot of things to keep track of, and then you simply drive.  The Hermit’s puzzlepieces of sky synchromeshing, The Hermit AS twilight are both visual metaphors of the unseen and unmoved mover.

Explore Your Personal Twilights With The Hermit

as you explore whole worlds that can exist in the tiniest of things and the smallest of places . . . like the infinity inside you.

Today’s Card? The Land of Mystereum 5 of Wands

Today’s card is the 5 of Wands.

The 5 of Wands warrants a free reading exercise here.  Let’s work this 5 together.

Do you feel stiff competition?  Chaotic energies?

Try asking yourself the question, “What energetic component do I have that the competition is missing?”

Pull another card.  Use the card back here as an unrevealed clarifying card for this question.

Think about . . .

What can you turn over in your situation like a card back?

What can you see anew?

What do you assume, feel is normal, that is not normal to anyone else and that you can use?

Ask again, “What energetic component do I have that the competition is missing?”

Does your question and the additional card you turn over focus something, bring something to mind?

Does it reveal something you already have that you can now see more fully?

Bring something that is already there into crisp focus as a strength that YOU wield!

Look at the child in this card.  The pura vida, pure life, child.

What in the heck is he doing?  Is he crazy?

He has put his wand behind him. Note that he keeps it, though.

He is still in the mix, but he has seen something everyone else here is missing.

Maybe the chaos is that two of them are too focused,

and two of them would rather be somewhere else so they chit-chat off to the side?  Or, are they next?

Or, are they seeing what the child is seeing, but keeping quiet?

Look at the child in this 5 of Wands card.

The pura vida child raises his hands to bring in the rainbow as his new wand, his new contribution.

No-one else has it, and bringing it into the situation is like. . . .

Bringing something that no-one else has or even sees, bringing something that the competition is missing.

Think of The Sun.

Its light is part of the rainbow.  Watch this 46 second video as you keep your second card in mind.

Then ask yourself. . .

What is the rainbow that I bring to my situation?

Till next time,

Mirrors. Projections. Inspiration!

Picking . . . The Queen of Wands, 2 of Pentacles, & 10 of Wands to express one perspective of the point. . .

Mirrors. Projections. Inspiration!

Everything is n + 1. Each Is More, Each of Us Is More

The Queen of Wands mirrors herself

to envision her blind spots backwards

to naturally flip them

to see right through their mirage

to forget her seeing

remembering the clarity of her energetic vision.

The 2 of Pentacles projects its shadow,

the shadow projecting the light,

the black spot on a yin-yang

more than beauty mark,

the white spot more than hope.

They are wormholes both

these dark dot white spot places

within fields of Other. . .

So far into one

as to become. . .

So far into the Other

to feel distinct Self. . .chthonic numinosity,

the depthful light of self.

Antinomy? Nope. Resolved AS life itself.

The 10 of Wands cockatieling what was once weight

cockatieling what was once unwieldy

coackatieling beyond simply holding it all together,

cockatieling wand-feathers temples flexing

fanning them forward effortlessly in yoga-powered form.

Both night and day in inspiration

brought forth chthonically numinous . . . ?

Or, more resolved like a porch n sky by Maigritte?

Night-time depthful front porch lit under dark tree canopy

under bright day-blue eyes-wide-open sky?

And. . .to sidestep copyright violation. . . maybe this painting says it all: “Empire of Lights” by Rene Magritte.

Or, this one. . . Another complete idea expressed by Magritte.  Or, maybe saying or expressing or anything all is not the point.

And, when a triptych is as well quaternal . . . n + 1.   3 + 1 = 4.

Triptych of paintings also as group, a 4th, the quaternity of group.

Triptych in number = Quaternity of the group

And, n + 1.

And, there’s always more . . .

Even less is more, more or less.

Till next time!

Jupiter’s Blessings,

p.s. This “Stoicheion-Somata Tarot” article by Christine Payne-Towler plays well with/on Aristotle via the Pythagorean sandbox.

They aren’t really oil and water, though each relatively useless without the other? Ground and dancing figure?

The 5th Ace: Death & My Greatest Crux

I found at the crux of the greatest challenge of my life . . .
I haven’t spoken of this story in years, and I carried the equilateral, triangular piece of basalt that I found back at the top, that had personality, would stand up on one side, in my pocket daily for 5 years. . .
I was waiting for the rest of the group to come back down off of the summit, and slipped backwards off of a cornice rock ledge into the scree field on the backside of a 14’r (14,000 foot mountain) in October of 2000 years back on a hiking trip and slid standing perfectly upright about 100 feet down, no resistance, just gliding with feet under the sand, submerged feet-surfing mostly.  Then I breathed and that movement made for another 100 feet, and another 100 feet, and then down over the 1st pitch from the top out of the view of my climbing buddies as I yelled “DON’T FOLLOW ME, ONLY ONE OF US WILL DIE, AND I CAN’T TAKE CARE OF YOU HERE, GO NOTIFY. . .”  . . .and eventually almost 2,000 vertical feet later at a 45-50 degree pitch found solace on a boulder bigger than my car that moved when I touched it, sand sliding out from in front of it.  I flowingly climbed on to it thinking that if it went I’d feel no pain. . .and might as well go out on a sports car of a fast-accelerating boulder ya know?!   Then after an hour of wonderful end-game tears and no way out at 4p in the afternoon when you were supposed to be off the pile of rocks by 2p. . .the temp dropped from 65 to 25 as the sun dropped below the rim of the summit, and I was day-dressed, long shorts and one sweatshirt.  Then, after smiling that “well, if I’m gonna go, I’m going out in my style. . .kickin’-and screamin’ in a long-form cosmic YAWP!”  Turning to look back up the steep pitch towards the top I couldn’t see, “And, if I’m going to go, I am going THAT way!!” I recited a poem I had written in 1991 on the hood of my car by headlights moving to Denver in 1991 in the middle of a blizzard snowstorm:

A Prayer

There comes one,

whom we know like wind,

like rain upon the water.

And, as winter comes

and our memories freeze together,

together may we sleep and dream.

So, that come the springtime,

as we embrace with open eyes,

may we melt

back together

in each others’ arms.

And, I slid-flowed off of the boulder as more sand made its way down to the 2+ second drop-off, thousand one thousand two, CLICK the rock I tossed over sounded. Can’t survive a 2+ second fall that I had by the grace of all higher powers defiantly stopped short of. . .and I knew search and rescue couldn’t help with a helicopter until morning ’cause the storms were coming in, and even then the turbulence from the blades would avalanche the dry and frozen sands I was standing on in the scree field and they consequently wouldn’t try. . .I began slowly churning my feet chanting a word at each step “discipline   of   the  ritual     discipline    of    the    ritual” as I aimed up toward the next larger-than-my-car boulders knowing two things. . .1 the sand would be subtly more stable for upward movement, and 2 that if they went, again I would feel no pain. . . for 6 hours straight veering towards and then off from one to the next as the sand mini-avalanche cascaded up towards them in that flow of undermining the hill on its way uphill to the boulder . . .until at 10pm in the pitch black of night I was back at some snow patches near that 1st top pitch.  Except I remembered from the daylight when I slowly slid past them that the snow patches had tons of pink in them as I passed them earlier.  Ghiardia?, Pseudomollus?.  Not so good to touch or ingest. Can be fatal, and I had enough of that entree on my plate already.
So, I churned sideways traversing around them, and at midnight I was back at the summit.  Dead tired, looked up at the stars. . . BEAUTIFUL.  EXQUISITE.  And, dragged my right hand through the scree field at my feet to get a sand band-aid to stop bleeding that came from??, and something felt to stay in my hand.  I lifted my hand flat-palm up as a sand tea ceremony into the light of the stars and the sand cascaded off to reveal a stone, a triangular piece of basalt.  It would be my memory of this trip, and now, ALL I had to do was downclimb a mountain I had been on for the first time that day, in the dark, with sharp-edged rocks that would end up slicing through the thick soles of my hiking boots by the time I got down to near the top trailhead, and a 500 foot drop-off somewhere off over to the left, somewhere, somewhere over to the left. . . somewhere, too dark to tell. . . just don’t go left, I muttered as my lips cracked. More sand, at least some relief to keep focused as much as I could.  Clamping the triangle talisman memory-rock in my hand. . .moving down and to the right, at least right-ish.
At 3 am I, dragging my left leg as my left knee was totally blown and banged up and bloody as was my right temple from a rock somewhere, who knows where, sand probably too foot-trafficked dirty here to use, and the water had been in someone else’s pack ’cause I carried it up the climb, I saw campfires. . .base camps.
I tried to shout and nothin’ but more cracking lips, the aphasia of dehydration anesthetizing my voice. No voice, no sound.  I kept creature-from-the-black-lagoonin’ limp-dragging my leg, the thought of which had kept a subtle grin but not so big as to crack my lips more through the last half of the down-climb — my Norwegian defiance of a joke on my lips kinda thing.  A woman walking at the edge of their campfire light shouts from way over “HEY EVERYONE. . .LOOK!!!”  and , runs towards me.  Search and rescue and my buddies had spread the word around the campsites. . .”Jordan? Are you, Jordan?” she said with her hand on my shoulder. . .and when I heard my name, I looked at her and my legs disappeared, collapsed. Unconscious k.o. by mountain.  Woke at after 4am to paramedics laughing that “Man, his vitals are VITAL!, 120 over 80 the whole time, and he’s waking up.”  I looked to my buddies and chuckling, lips salved or something, weird taste, said “Who’s gonna punch me, 1st?!!!”   One of my good friends shook his head and said “I’ve never been SO pissed off in my life!” ???  “HOW were we gonna tell your parents that you were the only one who didn’t do shrooms, and DIED?  We didn’t offer ’em to you ’cause you’re so damn vivid anyway we knew you’d laugh a no thanks.”  And, then put a gallon of water and a cold burger and fries in front of me they had gone into town to get for me waayyy earlier when they got to base camp.
I still love that story . . .NOW!  😉
BIG OLE :-)’s from here!  BIG OLE :-)’s  It was Mt. Democrat near Breckenridge, Colorado.  Guess I put in MY vote, huh.  😉

There comes one,

whom we know like wind,

like rain upon the water.

And, as winter comes

and our memories freeze together,

together may we sleep and dream.

So, that come the springtime,

as we embrace with open eyes,

may we melt

back together

in each others’ arms.

That was the best burger and fries I have ever had.  Thank You Mike Allison.
