Tarot. The Queen of Wands’ Empathy-Sight in Magical Mirroring

fire of life, life-acumen, actively energetic clarity directed to attract wants

fire of life, life-acumen, actively energetic clarity directed to attract wants

The Queen of Wands is a Magical Mirroring, the full energetic clarity of empathy with the natural leadership of not dissolving one’s boundaries as a chameleon… the full energetic clarity of far-seeing vision right in the moment wise in time in the moment. The Queen of Wands. True empathy without handing yourself over to the other. The Queen of Wands. True and full and confident perspective with natural leadership through and through.

~ END OF BLOG. The below is reference material from The Presence of the Priestess.” …except for a couple of… minor, experiential edits.~

The Presence of The High Priestess character in The Land of Mystereum

The High Priestess plays 10 parts in The Land of Mystereum, 10 very specifically different roles.  This came about from the amazing breadth and great deal of work I felt The High Priestess performs naturally in her role as the one who gives form to the formless.  Tha Magician sparked inception, whereas The High Priestess then form-gave conception.  It felt very natural to let the presence of the Priestess naturalize itself throughout these 9 perennial cards in The Land of Mystereum.

1. The High Priestess appearance.  As herself The High Priestess gives form to the formless connected to ground and sky, above and below? Conception. A visual story of an out-of-body experience or across-every-scale as a natural and total mode for this card.

2. The Empress appearance.  The High Priestess golden and pregnant connected not to ground and sky here, but to the two Empress Yoni-verse trees, carrying out the function she began in the completion of the task of The Empress’ “carrying to full term.”

3. The Temperance appearance. We see The High Priestess’ unconscious workings, the creature forces of the unconscious, brought forth into the light of day to layer in another dimension of vast connection.  The vast connection of above with below.  The vast connection of unconscious with conscious.  Temperance then as a metaphor for unconscious contents utilized naturally and consciously?

4. The Moon appearance.  The Priestess up close focuses on the drawing-down-the-moon ritual.

5. The 6 of Pentacles appearance, 2 of her.  The epic spiral of giving and receiving.  The Priestess sisters as two facets of her personality in more casual black and lavendar robe garb to continually spin-juggle Pentacle-worlds in this epic exchange.

6. The 6 of Wands appearance.  The Priestess, having drawn down the moon resonates from its other side to cascade an exchange of new energies down into your process.  Papesse? As, here The High Priestess is performing what is traditionally a Hierophant function of bringing spirit to the earth, yet in your Wands, in your Minor Arcana, in your everday life.  Present in the Minors is the Priestess exalting new qualities to enliven your down-to-earth spirit?

7. The Queen of Wands appearance.  Sees through mirage clearly and naturally.  Feels the full-on whole ‘nother world in a simple reflection.  Life inside the mirror, a whole ‘nother universe there?  Note, though, that the reflections here are not symmetrical reversing one another like in a traditional mirror.  Mirror mirror on the wall . . . with NO competition.  The Priestess plays this Queen with her mirror-magic of above and below, outside the mirror and at one and the same time within yourself.  The High Priestess focuses identity here to express a magical and clear nature in her energetic vision.  The High Priestess is wholly transformed here.  Suffice it to say, The Queen of Wands Gets ‘er done! NOW THE MAGICAL MIRRORING OF NATURAL AND FULL-ON EMPATHY.

8. The Queen of Cups appearance.  And, in The Queen of Cups the Priestess fulfillingly emerges from her cup, fulfillment carried to full term?  She is akin to a living Nautilus in the sea of emotion present to brightly wash through like great weather.  Also, have you noticed the Calla Lily energy coming from her hands as she moves through these cards?  The Calla Lily.  One of the few asymmetrical flowers.  Beautiful.  SO stunningly beautiful a flower.

9. King of Cups appearance.  And, The High Priestess finishes her World Tour 2010 of The Land of Mystereum emerging as the emotionally infused strength emanating from the King of Cups’ bicep.  That goes places for me. More than Jungian anima, the female spirit within the male.  More a mindbodybeautiful strength present in this King.

Oh, and Lest We Miss Subtlety

10. The World appearance in a slideshow of The High Priestess, The World, and Strength.  One of those hands up top in The World belongs to The High Priestess… and by the way, the other comes from Strength. Which is which?

This post was originally

This post was originally The Presence of the Priestess. Reminiscing on creating Mystereum… I drew 2 cards. The 7 of Pentacles from  the top Stone Card and The Magican pulsing as the heartbeat of the 7 of Pentacles from the bottom Treasure Card.

I feel that with the High Priestess’ grounded out of body experience coupled with the Queen of Wands and then those two coupled with the 7 of Pentacles and The Magician… it feels like I received a glimpse of eternity. It feels like I received an Inner Yod, the address of God.  I wonder if that address shows up on Google Maps? 😉

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of The World

The Presence of The World in The Land of Mystereum

The World plays 2 parts in The Land of Mystereum, 2 very similar roles.  It of course plays its full role in its card home address at 21 Archetype Avenue in The Land of Mystereum.  Plus, The World makes a vignette appearance as a wormhole, a portal to other worlds in… see the examples below.  This came about from a nod to the Mystereum Quaternal Brother Kings being overheard saying in unison, “The view through the looking glass at the top of our obelisk has special meaning for Mystereum’s Royal Court.  They see the top of the obelisk as a looking glass to see the infinite world of your next cycle.  They also see the top of our obelisk as a powerful portal between worlds.  You see, they feel it is also a connection to the afterlife that they use regularly each time they finish their large works. The call the top of the obelisk “The Portal of the Seamless Segue,” or PotSS for short.  They say that in each joyful completion of a cycle it gives you a glimpse of eternity.”             ~ excerpt from the Tarot in the Land of Mystereum Imagination Primer companion book, page 71.

1. The XXI World appearance.  The World of course appears first as itself in its home at 21 Archetypal Avenue in The Land of Mystereum as a view up from inside an obelisk. Explore the Priestess and Strength articles in this “Presence of” series to plus out some of the subtle features up top.

2. The 9 of Pentacles appearance.  Judgment also appears in the 9 of Pentacles as a vignette in the form of a wormhole. Ask yourself, “Why would this PotSS appear here in the 9 of Pentacles?”  <——- The video link there might shed some light on it… or… take you there to reveal a secret.  Make sure you get a reflective kitchen spoon out before you watch so you can play along.

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of Judgment

The Presence of Judgment in The Land of Mystereum

Judgment plays 2 parts in The Land of Mystereum, 2 very specifically different roles of the exact same feature.  This came about from a nod to ….2… throughout The Land of Mystereum.  See the 2 examples below.

1. The XX Judgment appearance.  Judgment of course appears first as itself in its home at 20 Archetypal Avenue in The Land of Mystereum.

2. The Queen of Pentacles appearance.  Judgment also appears in the Queen of Pentacles as her throne.  Notice the unfurled Angelic wing of Judgment in XX, the Judgment card.  Now look closely.  The Queen of Pentacles throne is this same Angelic wing… furled, settled and fully naturalized in the Master Gardener Queen of Pentacles’ garden.

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of The Moon

The Presence of The Moon in The Land of Mystereum

The Moon plays 17 parts in The Land of Mystereum, 17 very specifically different roles.  This came about from a nod to the importance of the moon in half of our everyday life, as a nod to mystery and light from unseen sources, and from those times when the moon is more than half of our everyday life when it ventures out as a day sky moon.  Enjoy the path of the moon in your own life as you explore the adventures that The Moon takes throughout The Land of Mystereum.

1. The XVIII The Moon appearance.  The Moon of course appears first as itself.  Well, no it doesn’t. Interesting, The Moon doesn’t appear first as itself.  The Moon began in The High Priestess which pays an homage to The Moon receiving its light from an unseen source, its true nature only discovered later.  Here the Priestess returns to emanate herself from the Lotus flower as a sacred gesture of welcoming The Moon to take its place and live in its natural, archetypal home.

2. The I Magician appearance.  The Moon appears in The Magician as a solar eclipse, or is it an inner eclipse inside the sun of the Magician’s Self?

Notice the eclipse WITHIN the sun, and the magically watching eye-wings as vision to take you new places... focus so intense that it dilates time to open

Notice the eclipse WITHIN the sun, and the magically watching eye-wings as vision to take you new places… focus so intense that it dilates time to open

3. The II High Priestess appearance.  The Moon appears in the High Priestess’ Drawing Down the Moon ritual.  I found this archetypally interesting from a deck creation perspective, as when creating the cards the Moon won’t exist yet for another 16 cards… until it does, and then it does.

intuition, forming, giving form to the formless, conception (to the Mag's inception), fully grounded out-of-body experiences as a matter of course naturally

4. The V Hierophant appearance.  The Moon begins to rise over the pyramid.  Is the Hierophant in front of the pyramid?  Or, is he within the pyramid and we see silent waters swum running deep both from and below him?  Is that a UFO up there? Well, look at that.  And, the UFO is.. oh, look at that… it’s actually built OF these little people. I guess a down-to-earth spirit flies its own craft.

Notice all the little people up and down HieroDood... wisdom, new spirit, activation, down-to-earth spirit

5. The IX Hermit appearance.  The Moon is Full behind The Hermit’s vision that puzzle-pieces the night and day sky together.

6. The X Wheel appearance.  The Crescent Moon parses out golden sunlight as it imprints its Full Moon symbol at the top of The Wheel’s wheel.  I wonder with those lavender sky-rings… Are we in the world under The Hanged Man or the Ace of Wands here?

7. The XVI Tower appearance.  The Moon peeks in. Front row Box seats for The Moon as The Fool returns to a home riding his Golden Pillars of the Fabric of life.  The Moon has a front row seat as The Fool reurns to a home growing wildly out of control to lightning-speak the truth and blast it to the ground fertilizing The Phoenix.  Wait.  What is that coming out of the lightning truth emerging out of The Tower below?  My my. That’s no fiery Phoenix.  That’s The Chariot character!  Go figure a Birth Card Brother would come out of something as powerful as the Fool’s labor in this birth.  Guess The Fool knew the Tower wanted a brother, huh?  Hmmm, maybe not a Tower’s brother at all.  It’s YOU, only NEW that comes out the other side of this.

8. The XIX Sun appearance.  The Moon, again eclipsed in The Sun as with The Magician above.  The powerful lunar eclipse AS the Sun’s 3rd eye, AS the 3rd Eye of Identity. As your identity becomes focused, your intuition emanates more strongly.  With these two working together naturally, odds are you are an Oracle.

9. The Ace of Wands appearance.  The Ace of Wands Hermit-Vision opens up the night to flow into the day with depth as The Moon synchromeshes side by side with the Sun across the twilight that this Ace of Wand’s Hermit-Vision has magically made.

10. The 2 of Wands appearance.  The Moon is a day sky moon.  And, fractally faceted all over the… WAIT!  There are so many moons in the night sky.  Whatever is one to do?  That’s confusing!  That’s what the Moon is here for.  Here, the Moon visually dispells madness so that one may choose the best energy for themself, so that…. The Moon is here in the Ace of Wands to visually dispel madness so that one can see not to make lots of little things appear like one, big thing.  This is energetic decision-time here.  The word is “unconfusion.”

11. The 6 of Wands appearance.  The Moon along with the Priestess arrive to 6’s-style cascade an exchange of energies to re-resonate these Wands now past their half-way point along your particular adventure.

victory, glory, overcoming obstacles so new energies cascade in

12. The 7 of Wands appearance.  There is high noon when the Western gunfights happened.  Here their is high moon when the time to go in headlong regardless of the odds presents itself.  Why would gunfights be at high noon you might curiously ask?  Never read this anywhere, though not casting shadows is a great way to see exactly who is faster and more accurate.  Shadows are longer and longer one way or the other depending on how far away they are from noon.  That would also mean they move faster than YOU actually move making them.  Kind of like your hand and elbow.  Place your hand on your chest.  Now, extend your hand and stretch out your arm all the way.  Look at that!  Your hand went twice as far as your elbow in the same amount of time.  Your hand would be the shadow at any time other than noon.  Talk about subtle movements turning into being full-on telegraphed.  Justice at high noon as the speed is what it is without distorting factors… then there’s the accuracy.  The intuition of this Moon lights the way through the path of the odds here.

13. The 8 of Wands appearance.  The Moon in the 8 of Wands.  Field sports?  A ball flying through the air?  Things are up in the air in a positive way… like moonbeams. 8’s are like an open and expansive plateau.  Open your hands to BE the infinity of receiving, your palms AS the plateau.

14. The 9 of Wands appearance.  The preparation is complete with the 9 of Wands.  A single barn truss stands. As people arrive, they bring their own, and another, and another.  Son, a long-house is created, the long-house of a get-together.  The Moonlights the place where this preparation has been completion.  “Ding dong” you hear. Get the door.  Time to get the party started!

15. The 10 of Wands appearance.  The Moon appears as the eye of the cockatiel, the interested cockatiel with raised headfeathers.  The Moon is in the 10 of Wands sights, the Sun brightening the unknown behind him.  He himself, between the Sun and the Moon IS himself the magical twilight of the space between.  He himself IS the Psychic Synapse. The Moon is here to play its part dancing with the Sun to create the magical twilight for this Cirque du Soleil character to inhabit.

16. The Page of Wands appearance.  The Moon… so far away yet touching his left hand.  It’s a critical touch to have in a strong situation like this where the Hierophant lives on one side of this Page’s wand fully infusing the it, and Strength lives on the other side of it doing much the same… both giving and receiving through the Page’s wand at one and the same time.

17. The Knight of Wands appearance.  The Moon IS this newborn’s vision, the vision of this Knight upon awakening.  The Moon informing him to make his wand into egg teeth and crack-hatch from this house.  The crack and broken house are not hard-to-mend damage.  They indicate an awakening, an energetic awakening opening up more naturally to oneself while on the move.  Knights realize things atop their horse rather than atop their tatami mats.  The house of this Knight’s experiences did not build his character.  They warmed him to reveal it.

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of Temperance

The Presence of Temperance in The Land of Mystereum

Temperance plays 18 parts in The Land of Mystereum, 18 very specifically different roles.  This came about from Temperance’s magically alchemical mixing qualities that felt to resonate into the crucible creating these cards  It felt very natural to let the presence of Temperance naturalize throughout this many cards in The Land of Mystereum.  This is where my concept of Deceptive Simplicity and hiding in plain sight came through in Mystereum character development most evidently.  For, this many appearances are almost so big and so there one might miss them… or not.  It’s like Yellow Car Syndrome.  Don;t have a yellow car?  Then, there are probably none on the road.  Though, BUY a yellow car, and drive it off the lot.  On the way home you might see 50 of them.  They’ll be everywhere.  Things are easy once you learn them, much like things are easy to see once you’ve seen them, huh?

1. The XIV Temperance appearance.  Temperance of course appears first as itself.  Temperance is the Samekh Dance birthing the Quaternal Twin King Brothers. The Temperance female is a cameo of The High Priestess and the King-Maker in the light of day.  Samekh Dance?  What’s that you ask?  Start at her crown chakra where he touches her.  Move your eyes around the composition.  Curve through her to her touch of his throat, her touch tempering his voice. Then, continuing, his wide right arm gesture moving off the card on the right past consciousness to wrap around the unseen future and come back in to touch her crown chakra… with just that subtle, Samekh, pig-tail flourish of his finger.  And, there is a compositional Samekh (serif Samekh font version), or as I like to call it, The Samekh Dance of Temperance.  Why Samekh?  Samekh is often attributed to the Temperance card, and it felt resonant to bring it into as composition and structure that hide in plain sight.

2. The XV Devil appearance.  After coming together above and below in their Samekh Dance as one, the Temperance characters themselves do not cameo in the Devil, though coming before the Devil they direct the characters to square their circle and move to come together side by side as the yin and yang, the Sacred Feminine and Sacred Masculine either side of The Devil. This way the above and below are integrated with the earthly plane.  We could have some fun and say, Temperance went horizontal. Get a room.” This is a gesture to temper and evolve the Pan-goat ego so that earthly desires are seen and felt as natural intensities to be explored, experienced, developed, and resonated in and with. In this Devil card, the man and woman are both tethered by blood to his obelisk.  Though, from the Devil’s expression, they are acting together and clearly the leaders in the card.  The Devil may feel that they are in control. From their Temperance perspective, though, their role is more of an evolved form of control born of balanced masculine and feminine qualities which can be equated with self-leadership by being comfortable with one’s intensities and desires.  I find it important to say here that the Lover’s love what they love, period-end-of-story without apology, and that concept is embraced here without guilt as they are both contributing, giving back (over their shoulder). These two were directed by Temperance to cameo here and come together to interdependently individuate Temperance into The Devil. I mention the Lovers, though I’m not sure if these two characters are from the Lovers card.  The Lovers have a private face in their card.  They seem to either be real Picasso people or wearing Mardi Gras masks.  Their private life is theirs.  So, as the author, I can’t even tell you which two they are.  Well, that’s not really true.  It’s more-so that I have discretion, and that’s their business on their terms of their own accords together. 😉

3. The Knight of Wands appearance. Out of the darkness of the house, the egg, this Knight crack-hatches into the light.  The cracked and broken house is not hard-to-mend damage.  It is an energetic awakening.  Kundalini rising?  The energetic serpent emerging from the sacral egg.  Two things become one for these to occur and release higher octave energies such as an energetic Knight in Your Royal Court — as the Court Cards are called in The Land of Mystereum.

4 through 13. The High Priestess appearance.  Please visit the Presence of the Priestess blog in this Presence of series as she has 10 appearances throughout The Land of Mystereum.  With the mixing present in Temperance, this felt like a great place for a big, cross-linked overlap rather than on, big way-too-long article.  See those 10 cameos here and further explore how the families in The Land of Mystereum come together to create a whole surreal world in their archetypal and psychic home of the deck.

14. The 10 of Wands appearance. Strongly agile, energetic balance.  The Temperance of intensities in Cirque du Soleil level yoga.  A young King with wand-y cockatiel headfeathers up expressing interest, pouring one’s energies into a focus.  Notice the home between the day and the night.  Both are either side of the brain’s twilight community in the back of his head/top of spinal cord.  Notice this place.  It is composed of the cerebellum, medulla oblongata, pituitary gland, pons, and pineal gland.  This places this brain neighborhood at home AS the magical twilight between day and night, conscious and unconscious, where brain meets brain stem.  Call the dusk and dawn the magical twilight, the interstice, the Psychic Synapse of the space between, and this little brain neighborhood lives there in the card.  Putting the 10 of Wands here after the Knight of Wands does beg a question: Does this higher octave level of body temperance achieved in the mindbodybeautiful of the 10 of Wands bring one to a potential awakening in the knight of Wands?  With the concept of the Temple In Man and the Temple of Man and intense martial arts training, my perspective on that is “Definitely, Yes.”

The Quaternal Twin Kings

15. The King of Wands appearance.  The 10 of Wands grew in to the Knight of Wands, and the Knight of Wands grew up.  He is now the King., one of the four Quaternal Twin Brother Kings.  Note the Queen of Pentacles at his gravitational core in his mind. His heritage is strong.  His magical twilight brain neighborhood is as bright as ever.

16. The King of Cups appearance.  The King of Cups, besides being composed of the characters from Temperance, resonates differently than the other Kings.  The Queen of Cups emanates from his biceps, from the nourishing support of his actions.  His emotions infuse his every move which births life at every turn.  He understands all too well that the wisdom of the ages naturally lives in well-expressed emotions.  He’s intense, though has more of a “mellow, not melodrama” way about him. His heritage is fluid and fully integrated. His magical twilight brain neighborhood is as bright as ever.

17. The King of Pentacles appearance.   The Master Builder of the group.  He has fully integrated architecture within and about.  Sound limiting?  Doesn’t sound like Temperance?  Well, personally, as an Architect, drawing pretty pictures is the smallest part of my job.  I won’t play the expertise resume game required daily to do my job.  I’ll put it vastly more simply to see if this opens something up for you.  Architecture is composed of the Greek roots or arche (arkay) and techne (teknay).  Arche is the creating, is the original idea, the first-spark of inspiration, and it is formless.  Arche would then be “inception.”  Techne is the making and putting together of the idea in form, giving form to the formless.  Techne would then be “conception.”  Architecture is a both~and wholeness rather than an either/or proposition.  The King of Pentacles might live by these two quotes.  “Architectural design consists of an ounce of inspiration and many tons of logical argument.”  And, he solidly knows the ins and out of process as he is fully aware that, “The 1st 95% of a project takes the first 95% of the time.  The last 5%?  Well, it takes the other 95% of the time.”  Note the Queen of Pentacles at his gravitational core in his mind. His heritage is strong.  His magical twilight brain neighborhood is as bright as ever.

18. The King of Swords appearance.  The Ultimate Communicator of the group.  He fully and empathically integrates into his surroundings.  His words and expressions are evident, clear, and sharp… right to the point in the big picture.  And, his words and expressions, his sword, mostly always go outside the accepted borders as he is always after the natural thought and not the accepted way of thinking.  I would call this King the Ninja-Samurai as he seamlessly blends in with his regal and formal uniform being that of Nature itself, the perfect foundation to support clear expressions.  This King is fully aware that his presence is felt way beyond his spoken words.  He understand the tip of the finger pointing while at the same time may look at a different moon than the one pointed to. Notice that his magical twilight brain neighborhood is goldenly distributed through him to activate his crown chakra and as well to live and surf on the crests of his actions to enliven them further with natural intent in his will.

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of the Empress

The Presence of The Empress character in The Land of Mystereum

The Empress plays 3 parts in The Land of Mystereum, 3 very specifically different roles.  This came about from the amazing breadth and great deal of work I felt The Empress performs naturally in her role as the one who carries things to full term, the Yoniverse being that from which all emanates.  The Magician sparked inception which is formless, whereas The High Priestess form-gave conception giving form to the formless, and then The Empress carries this new life to full term.  She is like an archetypal, higher octave Queen of Pentacles.  It felt very natural to let the presence of the Empress naturalize herself throughout the 3 Major cards in The Land of Mystereum.

1. The Empress appearance.  The Empress of course appears first as herself.  As herself The Empress is the crazy-eyed crone formed by a canopy of trees.  She shows her age as her age tells stories. The High Priestess character, now in golden glow, is fully pregnant and will act as the Empress’ sacred vessel from which to emanate.  The High Priestess here midwife’s herself AS the portal of the Yoniverse, and this is no temporary function.

2. The Emperor appearance.  The Empress’ Trees gift out a special tree to the Emperor.  He is within his tree.  He is protected, hidden in plain sight in disguise much like King Lear checking in on his troops without disturbing them as to his presence.  How is this a special tree?  Why would he put down his sword and crown behind the tree from his troops?  The Emperor rode in on this tree.  Note the roots.  This tree is the Emperor’s horse which has lied down and transformed into a tree.  The Emperor rides in on the horse, and then goes inside the horse.  Not like Luke in Star Wars, though.  At a single gesture his horse will rise back up and take him where he needs to go.

3. The Hanged Man. We see The Empress here AS The Hanged Man’s Tree with him umbilicaled from a strong branch while activating his crown chakra.  This tree carries the knothole-birthmark of sacred depths ringed by the Uroburos as a reminder that transformations have come before, and will come again.

Detail appearances in The Empress

  • Notice the sacred lingham or omphallos intact and growing from the base of one of her World Trees.
  • Notice the knothole-fish in the other with light barkline hand as fish mouth.
  • Notice the Priestess’s “Drawing Down The Moon Hands” nourishinly reaching up through the bark.

Tarot. Mystereum. The Presence of the Priestess

10. The World appearance.  One of those hands up top in The World belongs to The High Priestess… and by the way, the other comes from Strength. Which is which?
