Mystereum Review & New News x 2!

And Tarot in the Land of Mystereum

Mysteureum Delirium! review from Mary Nale + New News!

Here’s the New News!

First off, before I get to Mary Nale’s wonderful review below…
I am honored. What an accolade! I cherish the the depths of personal, process experience and Soul Gardening that brought Mystereum into being. I feel chords plucked on the harp of my heart-strings. They resonate for my creation’s journey as it has made its way so wonderfully out there in the world after it graduated from me. Kudos Mystereum! Thank you Marcus & Tali!

&

Jordan’s Journeys now has A new home at JordanHoggard.com! This is the flagship post out of the gate! I have a New Moon Blessing gift for you coming very soon.

Ok, on to a vibrant and verdant review

There are more reviews, and I’ll post them in the upcoming weeks. I have 5 more that just floor me every time I revisit them. They will be in no particular order, as I resonate with them all, each differently. Like Mystereum says, All similar, each unique. And, The Sun extends, I’m you, as only you can beHave fun with that one in your own ways as only you do. How were you particularly born to see?

Explore, enhance, reinforce, and strengthen the clarity of your own vision with Tarot in the Land of Mystereum:

Now, to the Review

Okay, let me first say THANK YOU to Schiffer Books for sending me Tarot in the Land of Mystereum by Jordan Hoggard.
Book Details
ISBN:  9780764336010
Size:  11 1/2 ” x 6″ x 1 1/2″
Illustrations:   78 color art cards + 192 page companion book

The box that this comes in is sturdy and has a magnetic lid.  The book and the deck nestle in here very nicely.  The colors are vibrant and the card backs are like looking out a picture window.  (Well, that’s what I see anyway, you may see something totally different.)
The first thing I noticed is that these are not standard size cards, they are larger -no squinting to see what’s going on in the image.  I’ve come to like larger cards so, this is just fine by me!
Before releasing the cards I took out the companion book and started reading…within seconds, I was smiling and hearing the words on the page come to life in Jordan’s voice!  (This deck is all about your imagination after all…)
This book is so different from what you expect to see in a companion book!  It’s truly entertaining and packed full of information.  This is what I would call a “Story Book”.  Okay, if you need a more grown up term for this, it’s a Novel with well developed characters.
It was hard for me to put the book down once I started reading, the story moves you right along through every single card in the deck!  The “Imagination Tools” will serve you well and open your mind to new possibilities.  The key words are given under the image of each card in the book, you will notice right away that these are very different than what you’re used to seeing…they have more depth and come from a totally different perspective than what you find in other books and decks.  Many authors say they have a different approach to Tarot but, Jordan really does — and here’s the book to prove it!  I can’t imagine how much time went into writing this book, it’s something every tarot reader should add to their collection.
Now, let’s talk about the cards!  I mentioned they are larger than a standard deck but, not so large that you can’t handle them.  The cards are sturdy and will last you a very long time.
I shuffled and shuffled…The Queen of Swords!  I love what Jordan has done with this card-the three swords are forming a triangle around this Queen.  She’s very focused.  I wouldn’t say she looks annoyed, just very intense.  I like that!  No-nonsense!  The Queen of Swords is one of my favorite images in this deck.  I think this card shows how The Queen’s attitudes and intentions can sometimes be misunderstood.  She isn’t mean, she just doesn’t believe in beating around the bush — direct is the way to go with this lady!
Look at this High Priestess. Is there anything that she doesn’t know?
These two cards represent what this deck will mean to me… how it will treat me and what I can expect.  I think it’s saying that it will tell me anything I want to know and it will tell me in a manner that’s direct and to the point.  This makes me smile ’cause I like things on the direct side!  I look forward to working with these images and re-reading the book. I totally “get” how this is an Imagination Primer!  When you look through the cards, there seems to be just a whisper of something… like when something is on the tip of your tongue…then your mind opens up and the information starts coming.  If a blue print could come to life, it would look like this deck… that’s what I think!
Each character tells his or her story in the book and the deck provides the visual aid to get your head in gear… I just don’t know how else to explain this so, I sure hope this makes sense!
I recommend to buy this deck, and it’s available at :

4 of Pents Congrats to Mystereum!

I woke up in the middle of the night and smiled as I remembered an honor that is dear and magnetic and powerful to me. It was like an awake-dream, a theosophic vision launched straight out of my dreams. I sat up kelping in slow movements very liminal like I was un-knocked out into awareness, and probably had quite a goofy looking smile like a cat with its tongue just stuck there stuck out a bit. There was a blurry image coming forward and into focus as I came to. It was the rockin’ Tarot package Schiffer Publications published in 2011. That’s certainly an honor, though that wasn’t the magnetic memory that pulled me up out of dream orbits.

My book and deck package Tarot in the Land of Mystereum was named 39th out of the Top 50 Most Essential Tarot Decks By the Tarosophy Tarot Association a good while back! I have to say, being stirred out of sleep by a magnetic memory like that is ridiculously cool! What a great talisman for the night, the day, and moving forward! Lyra, my German Shepherd, may want to go out now for a middle of the night walk, and I’m pretty dang sure I’ll be meeting the pillow again soon after, though I wanted to share this magical moment while it was fresh, to keep its movement going out into the night, the world, and into and throughout the day.

Weekly Tarot Inspired Questions

Enjoy this week’s exercises of questions as your blueprints of sanctuaries to engage life more fully.

Astro Suggestion Tip

If you know your Moon and Rising Signs (Ascendant / ASC), read those Tarot Inspired Questions, too.  I find them to be most helpful in composing a more applicable Tarot card and Astro combo that more resonantly works with your overall personality.  And, if you’re like me and have your Moon conjunct your ASC in the same sign, do them twice or simply give them double umph to engage them more potently.

Capricorn,

  • What established inner light do you have that is so big and so there you may miss it at times? …like an inner sun you are so fully accustomed to that you might “overlook” it.. like saying “daytime” which implies the sun though doesn’t necessarily make you think about the sun.  What established inner light do you have that is so big and so there you may miss it at times?
  • Why do some expectations cause you to lose sight of your established inner light?  An active remedy to this may be Christiana C. Gaudet‘s sanctuary of a statement: “Don’t let your emotions dictate how you feel.”  Why do some expectations cause you to lose sight of your established inner light?
