Exactly the intent of my reference! 🙂 I have a sterling silver 7-pointed Alchemist’s Star necklace pendant, somewhere, has gone missing, that has a round price of Iolite at the center… the confluence of directions. Yes, the Viking’s Compass! It’s a dichroic stone, refracts light differently from each side. Have a square chuck of it with a black dot on the top, and it projects down through the stone. You turn the stone to align the dot, and even at night you can plot direction. I’m not telling you anything you don’t know, though expanding the Viking’s Compass so other’s can kneel before the Google Oracle and ask in the search bar and discover it, too. 🙂
